Hujayrah:Syrian authorities have announced the arrest of Khaled Raed Birouni, also known as “Abu Hassan Doshka.” He is described as the operational arm of ISIS in Homs and was detained during a security operation in the town of Hujayrah, located in the countryside of Damascus.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Birouni served as the general military commander for ISIS in the Homs Province, where he played a crucial role in planning and executing various operations. His responsibilities included the preparation and use of explosive devices and carrying out attacks motivated by sectarianism in the city of Homs.

Additionally, authorities disclosed that Birouni was accountable for the bombing of the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood of Homs, an incident that occurred last December.
