Hodeidah: The Israeli army launched an attack on the city of Hodeidah in southern Yemen at dawn on Tuesday, hours after issuing evacuation orders for three Yemeni ports, following reports that a missile fired from Yemen towards Israel had fallen before reaching Israeli airspace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, media affiliated with the Houthi Ansar Allah group reported that Israel had targeted the docks of Hodeidah port with two airstrikes, with no reports of casualties so far. Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Israeli army had launched airstrikes in Yemen, and the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the navy had carried out an attack in Yemen.

The Israeli army had ordered the evacuation of the ports of Ras Issa, Hodeidah, and Salif in western Yemen yesterday evening in preparation for targeting them, claiming they were headquarters for “terrorist activities,” as it described them. This is the third warning of its kind in less than two months, preceded by two similar warnings on May
11 and 14.

The Israeli warning comes after Israeli media reported that a missile fired from Yemen towards Israel had fallen before reaching Tel Aviv. This is the first warning issued since the Israeli army launched its tenth attack on Yemen on May 28th, since the start of its war on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, and the fourth since the resumption of military operations on March 18th, following a temporary truce that lasted approximately 60 days.
