Israeli Army Intensifies Operations in Daraa and Quneitra with Increased Drone Activity

Syria: The Israeli army has intensified its field operations in the rural areas of Daraa and Quneitra, with ongoing drone flights over the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, local sources in Daraa reported that an Israeli army force conducted raids and searches in the village of Saisoun in the western Daraa countryside early this morning. The force, consisting of 12 vehicles, positioned itself strategically on the Saisoun bridge among residential neighborhoods, while three Israeli drones operated overhead.

Sources also noted Israeli incursions into the Quneitra and Daraa countrysides around midnight, with Israeli warplanes flying above the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside. Additionally, an Israeli military force, made up of two vehicles, entered the wooded area of Al-Rafid town in the southern Quneitra countryside. The operation involved firing flares, which led to a fire that required intervention from civil defense teams and local residents after the Israeli force had departed.

Earlier reports indicated that an Israeli military convoy of eight vehicles moved from the Tel Abu Al-Ghaithar gate towards the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area, aligning with heightened Israeli drone activity over the region.

In the Quneitra countryside, local sources described an Israeli military force entering between the towns of Saida and Al-Razaniya on Friday night. During this operation, the Israeli force established a temporary checkpoint, detained a shepherd, and later released him before withdrawing to its military positions.

These Israeli military movements in southern Syria are part of a continuing series of violations of Syrian sovereignty.
