BEIRUT: The Israeli military issued an urgent evacuation order early Wednesday morning for residents of a building in the southern suburb of Beirut, warning of an imminent airstrike targeting Hezbollah-associated facilities. The strike resulted in visible columns of smoke rising from the area, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) posted a warning on the X social media platform, specifically targeting the residents of a building in the Haret Hreik area, identified on an attached map. The post stated, ‘A new urgent warning to the residents of the southern suburb, specifically those present in the building specified in the map and located in Haret Hreik. You are present near facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah, which the IDF will work against in the near future.’ The warning further advised residents to evacuate immediately and maintain a distance of no less than 500 meters
from the building for their safety.

Following the evacuation order, an Israeli airstrike was carried out on the specified building, leading to the observed smoke.
