Salah al-Din: The Joint Operations Command announced the killing of two terrorists in an F-16 airstrike in Balkana Mountains within the eastern Salah al-Din operations sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the cell stated that the airstrike, conducted by F-16 aircraft, was based on accurate information and the efforts of the Military Intelligence Directorate. The operation was planned by the Targeting Cell in the Joint Operations Command and targeted a terrorist hideout. A force from the eastern Salah al-Din Operations Command’s 88th Brigade, along with elements from the Military Intelligence Directorate, undertook the mission. Despite the area’s challenging terrain, they searched the strike site.

The force discovered the bodies of two terrorists, along with weapons, logistical materials, mobile phones, and criminal evidence. The statement noted that the research and intelligence monitoring process is ongoing within the sector. The operation was hailed as a success for the security forces.
