Syria: Specialized units of the Syrian Internal Security Forces dismantled an ISIS cell that was planning attacks in the Daraya area of rural Damascus. Brigadier General Ahmed al-Dalati, commander of Internal Security in the Damascus Countryside Governorate, said: “Our forces, in coordination with General Intelligence, carried out a precise security operation targeting an ISIS hideout in Daraya, based on accurate intelligence and continuous monitoring of the cell members’ movements over the past few weeks.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Dalati confirmed that the operation was executed with high precision and according to the highest standards of planning and safety, with full adherence to precautionary measures to protect civilians. He noted that its success reflects the advanced level of coordination between security and intelligence agencies.
He added: “This operation comes within the framework of an ongoing national strategy aimed at drying up the sources of terrorism and preventing any threat to the security and stability of society.”
