Jordanian Authorities Thwart Attempt to Smuggle More Than Half a Ton of Hashish


Amman: Jordanian authorities announced the seizure of 650 kilograms of hashish intended for smuggling into the country via the King Hussein Bridge, a land crossing linking the Kingdom to the West Bank.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Spokesperson for the Jordanian Customs Department stated that personnel working at the King Hussein Bridge Customs Center, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department and security agencies operating at the center, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 650 kilograms of hashish disguised as palm leaves hidden inside construction stone material entering Jordan.
