Judge Zeidan and Finance Minister Discuss Public Fund Protection and Recovery


Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, engaged in discussions with the Minister of Finance, Faleh Sari, focusing on the protection of public funds and the recovery of assets obtained through corruption cases. This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing the cooperation and coordination between the executive and judicial branches in the country.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Finance released a statement highlighting the meeting’s focus on strengthening procedures related to the recovery and protection of public funds. The discussions included mechanisms for ensuring that recovered funds are deposited within the approved legal frameworks, thereby safeguarding them from mismanagement or waste.



The Minister of Finance reiterated that protecting public funds is a collective national responsibility. He emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to supporting initiatives aimed at prosecuting those implicated in corruption and recovering misappropriated funds. This effort is seen as crucial for bolstering public trust in state institutions and reinforcing the principles of integrity and the rule of law in the country.
