Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the judicial and legal fields.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Council issued a statement noting that Judge Faiq Zaidan had a meeting with Masoud Pezeshkian, who is the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussions focused on enhancing Iraqi-Iranian cooperation, emphasizing aspects related to judicial and legal matters.

The meeting also saw the participation of Iranian Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi, further underscoring the importance placed by both nations on strengthening ties in these essential sectors.
