Karbala:The Governor of Karbala, Nassif al-Khattabi, met with the Austrian Ambassador to Iraq, Axel Wech, to explore ways to strengthen collaboration across several key sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in higher education, agriculture, the economy, information technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

The meeting, which took place at the Governor’s office, saw Governor al-Khattabi emphasizing the value of Austrian expertise and experience. He highlighted the economic and investment opportunities available in the Holy City of Karbala, noting the significant progress in the industrial, agricultural, tourism, medical, and educational sectors. The Governor also underscored the city’s strategic move towards digital transformation and environmental sustainability.
