Baghdad: The Governor of the Holy City of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, has underscored the crucial role of municipal services in preparation for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage. In a recent meeting with the Director of the Karbala Municipality, his deputies, and the heads of service and technical departments, the Governor focused on the department’s readiness for this significant event.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Governor emphasized the need to intensify efforts, improve fieldwork, and ensure direct supervision by the Director of the Municipality and other officials. This is aimed at executing the service plan with the highest levels of efficiency. He highlighted that the Governorate has significantly supported the municipality by equipping it with an extensive fleet of specialized vehicles, increasing the number of sanitation workers, and providing various logistical and technical resources.

The Governor’s directives call for additional efforts to maintain the cleanliness of Karbala and to deliver optimal services to the millions of pilgrims expected to attend the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
