Karbala: Under the patronage and in the presence of the Governor of Holy Karbala, Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, the local government in Holy Karbala held a celebration on the occasion of Iraqi Lawyers’ Day and the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Bar Association.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the celebration was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Karbala Provincial Council, Mahfouz Al-Tamimi, members of the Provincial Council, and the Deputy Head of the Iraqi Bar Association representing the Head of the Iraqi Bar Association. The head and members of the Karbala Bar Association’s delegation and a number of lawyers also marked their presence at the event.

The Governor congratulated the lawyers on this occasion, expressing wishes for their continued success in fulfilling their professional and legal mission and serving the community. During the celebration, he emphasized the important role played by the Bar Association and the legal profession in upholding the rule of law, protecting rights, and promoting the principles of justice.

He praised the professional and patriotic role of lawyers and their contributions to serving the community and state institutions. Furthermore, the Governor affirmed the local government’s commitment to supporting professional institutions and associations and strengthening cooperation and coordination with them to serve the people of the province and consolidate legal practice.
