Karbala: Security forces in the holy city of Karbala arrested a man who appeared in videos circulating on social media, abusing a child, and took legal action against him. This decisive action came as part of ongoing monitoring of social media content by the authorities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, security forces detected the circulating video and immediately formed a joint security team from the Karbala Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate and the Family and Child Protection Department of the Police Command. Their goal was to investigate the incident and identify the man in the video.

After conducting thorough investigations and gathering the necessary information, the specialized team was able to locate and arrest the man. Legal procedures were then initiated against him, in accordance with the law. This move is seen as a contribution to strengthening family and child protection and reinforcing community security within the region.
