Baghdad:The Khadamat Alliance has emphasized that completing sovereignty and enacting the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law are significant achievements that renew public confidence in Iraq’s political system.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Alliance released a statement noting that Iraq celebrates National Sovereignty Day on September 30th. This day symbolizes the start of a new phase in asserting Iraqi sovereignty and marks the withdrawal of International Coalition forces from Iraq. The Alliance stressed that Iraq’s security, border protection, and independent decision-making are responsibilities of state institutions and security forces.
The statement also expressed full support for Iraq’s security forces in fulfilling their responsibilities to protect the nation and enforce state sovereignty. The Alliance urged the government to prioritize equipping the Iraqi Army with modern resources and to focus on domestic military manufacturing.
Moreover, the Alliance congratulated the Iraqi people on this national occasion and highlighted the importance of withdrawing Turkish forces to reinforce national sovereignty. The enactment of the Popular Mobilization Law is seen as a crucial step in renewing trust in the government.
