Baghdad: The Israeli government has announced that the release of kidnapped hostages in Gaza is scheduled for dawn on Monday. Israeli government spokeswoman Shosh Bedrosian made the announcement on Sunday, confirming the army's strategic withdrawal to the Yellow Line and expressing expectations for the imminent release of all hostages.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Chief of Staff of the occupation, Eyal Zamir, described the situation as an existential war that Israel has been engaged in since October 7, 2023. He stated that the conflict has reshaped the Middle East, along with Israel's security, defense, and deterrence strategies, marking a significant point in the nation's history.

Zamir further highlighted the impact of the events on Israeli citizens, noting a deep wound in their confidence in the army following the October 7 disaster. In related statements, the Israeli Minister of Defense outlined a major challenge following the return of kidnapped soldiers, emphasizing the necessity to destroy all Hamas tunnels in Gaza.
