Kirkuk Chamber of Commerce Engages in Uzbek Economic Forum to Enhance Trade Ties

Baghdad: A delegation from the Kirkuk Chamber of Commerce, led by its president, Sabah al-Din al-Salihi, took part in the joint economic forum between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The event occurred in Tashkent, drawing participation from chamber leaders, businesspeople, and sector representatives from both regions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the forum involved productive economic discussions with Vahabov Davran Abduljalilov, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Iraq, Yusufov Ayub Khan. Key figures from the chambers of commerce in Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja were also present.

The discussions focused on enhancing economic and trade relations and exploring cooperation and investment opportunities, particularly in the industrial, energy, agricultural, and textile sectors.

The participation of the Kirkuk Chamber of Commerce underscores its dedication to bolstering international economic relations, providing new opportunities for merchants and businesspeople in the province, and drawing investment prospects that support economic development and extend cooperation with regional and global markets.
