Kirkuk: The Kirkuk Provincial Council conducted a regular session this evening, focusing on several key issues impacting the province. Council Chairman Mohammed Ibrahim al-Hafiz highlighted the council’s agenda in a press conference, stating that discussions centered around voting on the mukhtars, or local leaders, and the hosting of directors from Civil Defense and Traffic departments to assess their operational needs.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the council plans to factor these departmental needs into future budgets, with particular attention given to the installation of surveillance cameras intended to reduce traffic accidents. Chairman al-Hafiz also announced that the province is set to receive financial allocations approved by the Council of Ministers. The council has prioritized using these funds to complete the remaining two sections of the Kirkuk-Tikrit road, emphasizing the importance of this infrastructure project for local development.
