Kirkuk:The administration of Kirkuk has announced that all schools and kindergartens in the region will suspend official working hours tomorrow due to adverse weather conditions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rebwar Taha, the first deputy governor of Kirkuk, stated that the decision was made following reports from water resources and meteorological authorities. These reports indicated that Kirkuk and its surrounding areas would continue to be affected by a prevailing low-pressure system. Consequently, the relevant service departments have been mobilized to address the situation.
The decision aims to ensure the safety of pupils, students, and children, particularly those in villages and rural areas. Residents of Kirkuk, especially those near the Zab River and flood-prone areas, are urged to avoid these regions for their safety. Truck and vehicle drivers are also advised to exercise caution on the outer roads.
