Kirkuk Police Transfers Over 800 Officers to Enhance Street Presence


Kirkuk: Kirkuk Police Command Spokesman Colonel Amer Nouri Shawani announced the decision to transfer the workplaces of more than 800 police officers, as part of a decision to increase the number of police on the streets of Kirkuk. He explained that the goal of the decision is to replace the army with Kirkuk Police forces.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a committee from the Iraqi Ministry of Interior issued an order to transfer Kirkuk officers and police to the Technical Support, Readiness, and Rapid Response Force, which also reports to the General Directorate of Kirkuk Police. He said that the decision includes all nationalities without discrimination.
