Kurdistan Democratic Party Secures Majority in Regional Parliament Elections.


Erbil: The Independent High Electoral Commission announced the final results of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections, revealing the distribution of 100 seats among various political parties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, led by Masoud Barzani, emerged as the leading party, securing 39 seats. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, under the leadership of Pavel Talabani, followed with 23 seats. The New Generation Movement, headed by Shaswar Abdul Wahid, obtained 15 seats, placing third in the election. The Kurdistan Islamic Union secured fourth place with 6 seats. The remaining seats were allocated to other political blocs within the region.
