Baghdad: The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, received the Syrian Minister of Education, Mohammed Abdul Rahman Turko, for discussions aimed at strengthening joint cooperation, particularly in the field of education.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting highlighted the mutual interest in enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Syria. Both parties underscored the significance of collaboration across various sectors, with a particular focus on educational initiatives.
The Syrian Minister of Education expressed gratitude to the Kurdistan Regional Government for its support in hosting Syrian refugees over the years. He also acknowledged the Syrian government's efforts to advance education in the Kurdish language within Syria. Meanwhile, Barzani reiterated the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to furthering cooperation with Syria, aiming to solidify the bilateral relationship.
