Baghdad: The Kurdistan Regional Government has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting corruption across the region. Prime Minister Masrour Barzani announced the administration’s dedication to tackling all forms of corruption, ensuring robust support and coordination with the region’s Integrity Commission to enhance efforts against corruption.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s office released a statement following Barzani’s meeting with Ahmed Anwar, the head of the Integrity Commission. During the meeting, Anwar provided a briefing on the commission’s recent activities and achievements. The discussion underscored the critical need for strengthened coordination and cooperation among relevant authorities within the Kurdistan Region to effectively combat corruption and prevent the misallocation of public funds.

Barzani reiterated the Kurdistan Regional Government’s unwavering commitment to eliminating corruption, highlighting the administration’s readiness to supply necessary support and facilitate collaboration with the Integrity Commission to bolster anti-corruption initiatives.
