Sharjah: A cultural evening at the ‘Al Multaqa Al Adabi’ Salon was held to discuss the book ‘Tell Them She Is Here: In Search of the Queen of Mleiha’ by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, published by Kalimat Group. The book provides an exploration of the life of the ‘Queen of the Desert’ through an introduction, 11 chapters, and a conclusion. The discussion was moderated by Asma Siddiq Al Mutawa, the founder of Al Multaqa.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al Mutawa emphasized that the discussion centered on a work that guides the reader through a journey exploring memory, identity, and humanity, encouraging reflection without offering fixed answers. She highlighted the session’s focus on Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi’s intellectual and literary experience as a writer, publisher, and researcher. Al Mutawa praised Her Highness’s career in promoting knowledge, supporting the publishing industry both locally and internationally, and enhancing Arab culture’s presence on the global stage.

Al-Qasimi’s work combines cultural and institutional efforts with intellectual research, utilizing her background in anthropology and interest in human heritage. This blend is evident in the book, which integrates personal experience with historical research and reflection.

“Tell Them She’s Here: In Search of a Beautiful Queen” invites readers to rediscover their connection with the land, memory, and ancestors, offering a journey back to their roots and to the land that holds memory when human efforts fall short.

Dr. Azza Hashem, in her review, clarified the intellectual value and research methodology of the book, noting the significant effort by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi in creating a work that goes beyond storytelling. The book opens up vast horizons of knowledge about stars, trees, history, memory, and humanity, drawing from rich sources like Jalal al-Din Rumi and Ibn Arabi to educate readers and broaden their understanding.
