Basra: Major General Haider Aboud Al-Eidani has been appointed as the head of the Olympic Committee in Basra Governorate. The Iraqi Olympic Committee made the decision to appoint Al-Eidani, who will be replacing Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Kinani in this position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Eidani had previously been tasked with heading the interim administration of Al-Minaa Club for a period of three months until elections could be held. This prior experience likely contributed to his recent appointment as the head of the Olympic Committee in Basra.
