Mal©: The Maldives Presidency announced on Tuesday that the President had approved a decision banning Israelis from entering the country. Maldives President Mohammed Moiz ratified the third amendment to the Immigration Act, which prohibits Israeli passport holders from entering the country.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President affirmed the Maldives’ unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people. In a post on his Instagram account, he said, “The amendment to the law and the ban on Israelis is a clear expression of the Maldives’ firm stance against the ongoing atrocities in Palestine.”
The Maldives Presidency further stated that it continues to call for accountability for Israel’s violations of international law and condemns its actions.
