According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani stated in a post on the X platform that a thorough investigation by the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Unit revealed that his personal office and the home of the head of the Security and Intelligence Service were earlier targeted by Iranian drone attacks.

Barzani condemned the attacks as reckless and unacceptable, emphasizing that they represent a significant escalation and pose a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region. He assured that these aggressive actions will not deter his administration from fulfilling their responsibilities and ensuring the safety of their citizens.
