BEIRUT: Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has accused the Zionist entity of deliberately targeting journalists to instill fear within the media and obscure its alleged crimes and destruction. In a press statement on Friday, Mikati emphasized Lebanon’s commitment to ceasefire efforts and adherence to United Nations Resolution 1701.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mikati declared that Lebanon is steadfast in its determination to deter aggression and uphold the terms set forth in Resolution 1701. This resolution, adopted in 2006, calls for a cessation of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel and outlines measures for peacekeeping in the region. Mikati’s statements come amid growing tensions and highlight Lebanon’s ongoing stance against actions perceived as threats to regional stability.
