Military Intelligence Captures 19 Fugitives Across Six Governorates

Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced the successful arrest of 19 individuals wanted by the judiciary on various legal charges across six provinces. This strategic operation highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain security and uphold the rule of law in the region.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the directorate issued a statement detailing the arrests, which were conducted with precision and coordination alongside security agencies in various operational sectors. The operation relied on accurate intelligence information to apprehend the fugitives.

The statement further elaborated that detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate carried out separate intelligence-led operations within the intelligence and security departments of Divisions 1, 7, 8, 11, 14, 17, 22, and 23. These operations successfully resulted in arrests in the governorates of Baghdad, Diyala, Anbar, Maysan, Salah al-Din, and Kirkuk.

The Directorate confirmed that all apprehended individuals have been handed over to the competent authorities. These authorities will proceed to take necessary legal actions in accordance with established procedures, ensuring that justice is served.
