Maysan: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Monday the arrest of four individuals accused of drug trafficking and distribution in Maysan Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a press release that the operation was executed based on directives from the Director of Military Intelligence and precise intelligence information. Heroes from the Intelligence and Security Department of the 22nd Commando Division, in collaboration with the Maysan Narcotics Division, successfully apprehended the suspects following extensive tracking and surveillance efforts.

The statement further detailed that the operation led to the seizure of narcotics found in the possession of the accused. These individuals are sought under Articles (28) and (32) of the Iraqi Narcotics Law. It was also noted that the accused, along with the confiscated items, have been handed over to the competent authorities for necessary legal actions.
