Baghdad: The Minister of Agriculture, Abdul Rahim al-Shammari, has confirmed the recovery of the agricultural sector, attributing it to increased water releases and the implementation of strategic plans.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement in which the minister, during a meeting with a delegation from the Finnish organization CMI, affirmed that the sector is experiencing revitalization and increased production. This positive development is largely due to improved water allocations and strategic solutions aimed at combating desertification and climate change.

Furthermore, Minister al-Shammari engaged in discussions regarding the challenges faced in agricultural work with a representative from the organization “APSO.” The delegation expressed their willingness to collaborate and conduct joint workshops focusing on agriculture, water, and climate-related issues.
