Baghdad: Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari chaired a meeting of the National Committee for Pesticide Registration and Approval on Tuesday, with the Ministry's Technical Undersecretary, Dr. Mithaq Abdul Hussein Obeid, in attendance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister was presented with a detailed report by committee members on a range of agricultural pesticides, focusing on their effectiveness and adherence to safety standards required for approval by the Ministry of Agriculture. The discussion centered on aligning with existing regulations and instructions, aiming to determine the best scientific and practical methods for advancing the agricultural sector, particularly in enhancing the pesticides sector.
