Baghdad: The Minister of Communications Mustafa Sanad has taken decisive steps to enhance the operations and support for the General Company for Post and Savings. During a recent field visit to the company’s headquarters, Sanad reviewed the current operations within various departments and assessed their needs to ensure improved postal performance across the nation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Communications issued a press release outlining Sanad’s directives aimed at bolstering the postal services. As part of his commitment to supporting postal staff, the minister has mandated the provision of essential logistical supplies to post offices throughout the provinces. Additionally, a fixed monthly bonus will be granted to both postal employees and contract workers, including those under provincial contracts. Furthermore, members of the Exchange Department will be eligible for overtime compensation. In a significant move to uplift the financial well-being of daily wage workers, their monthly wage will be increased to 400,000 dinars. These measures are expected to significantly support staff and improve their living conditions.
