Baghdad:Minister of Electricity Ali Saadi Waheeb met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, Ambassador Steven Fagin, to discuss enhancing cooperation on smart transformation projects within the electricity sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on bolstering collaboration on initiatives aimed at the “smart transformation” of the electricity sector, emphasizing the importance of improving management and efficiency within the system.

The Ministry reported that discussions included both current and future projects involving American companies in Iraq’s electricity sector, with an eye toward further cooperation in strategic project implementation. The Minister underscored the significance of continued coordination and collaboration, highlighting the role of expertise and modern technologies in developing the electricity sector to improve the efficiency and stability of the national electrical grid.
