Baghdad: Minister of Health Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi discussed with Johnson and Johnson enhancing cooperation in the fields of health technology assessment and medical development.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Health stated that Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi met with a delegation from Johnson and Johnson, led by the company's authorized executive director. The meeting was also attended by undersecretaries and several general managers and specialists from the ministry.
The discussions focused on enhancing joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the global company, with the aim of concluding an agreement to improve health services. This would be achieved through technical support, knowledge transfer, training, and developing sustainable solutions to integrate health technology assessment (HTA) into the Iraqi health system.
The Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships to raise the quality of health services and support evidence-based decision-making. He highlighted that this initiative is a crucial step in modernizing the health system and increasing the efficiency of medical resource use. This aligns with the Ministry's direction to develop services and improve institutional performance.
