Minister of Health Holds Meeting to Discuss Emergency Plan in Private Sector

Baghdad: The Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, convened an expanded meeting with directors of private hospitals to deliberate on the emergency plan for the private sector. The meeting, held at the Ministry headquarters, aimed at organizing the response mechanisms during crises and emergencies under the current circumstances.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures, including the Ministry's administrative and technical undersecretaries, the head of the Iraqi Medical Association, the head of the Iraqi Nursing Association, the head of the Private Hospitals Association, and other relevant officials. The discussions centered around enhancing the collaboration between governmental health institutions and the private sector to better serve citizens.

Dr. Al-Hasnawi highlighted the ongoing cooperation with contracted private hospitals as part of the health insurance system. He emphasized the critical role of medical, health, and nursing unions in supporting healthcare personnel and regulating professional work. The Minister also engaged with private health institutions to consider their proposals aimed at bolstering support for the Ministry and citizens during emergencies.
