Baghdad: Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khalid Battal Al-Najm, emphasized the importance of strengthening industrial cooperation between Iraq and Jordan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Industry stated in a press release: “The Minister met today, Sunday, at his official office at the Ministry headquarters, with the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Iraq, Maher Al-Tarawneh, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Ministry’s Scientific Advisor, Ammar Abdullah Hamad, and the Director General of the Department of Industrial Development and Organization at the Ministry.”

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and available cooperation opportunities in a number of industrial sectors, as well as several joint projects.

Al-Najm stressed the depth of the fraternal relations that bind Iraq and Jordan, and the importance of strengthening existing cooperation in the industrial sector to achieve the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador affirmed his country’s desire and keenness to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and joint work in a way that serves the industries of both countries.
