Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani engaged in discussions with the National Security Strategic Planning Team, headed by Representative Jawad Al-Bolani, focusing on securing financial revenues for the federal budget.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Oil released a statement confirming that the Minister received the National Security Strategic Planning Team on Monday. The discussions centered on energy security and the steps being taken by the Ministry to enhance the oil sector, which plays a pivotal role in generating financial revenues for the federal budget, with oil export revenues accounting for 90% of the total.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, and the Director General of the Legal Department, as noted in the Ministry’s statement.
