Diyala: The Ministry of Education has commenced a groundbreaking reverse integration experiment by registering students in 18 schools. This initiative aims to create a specialized educational environment where students with disabilities are integrated with their peers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Education is focusing on the first grade of primary school for children aged 6-12, while establishing specialized classes for adolescents aged 10-15 within each directorate general. This effort seeks to enhance the inclusivity of the educational system.

In Diyala, the local directorate is preparing to open a second school, with registration expected to be announced next week. Meanwhile, in Nineveh, the Education Directorate is working on finalizing the procedures to open a third school as part of the ongoing project.
