Baghdad: The Ministry of Education is preparing the first comprehensive update to the Fine Arts Institutes system in 32 years. The Ministry of Education has initiated drafting a comprehensive update to the Fine Arts Institutes System No. (52) of 1971, as amended. This marks the first review of the system since 1994. The update is being carried out as part of the government program, under the supervision of the Director General of Teacher Preparation, Training, and Educational Development, Taha Issa Al-Naji.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a ministry statement indicated that the specialized committee within the directorate has discussed the system's articles and clauses thoroughly. The committee formulated proposed amendments and introduced new articles to align with the requirements of educational work and the needs of the Fine Arts Institutes. It was also agreed that the committee will finalize the draft in a subsequent meeting, after which it will be submitted to the relevant authorities for approval.
