Nineveh: The Ministry of Environment is actively monitoring the readiness of the Civil Defense and safety procedures in the Nineveh region. Civil Defense official Mahmoud Shaker Al-Khairallah conducted a nighttime field visit to the Nineveh Environment Directorate to assess the preparedness of the Civil Defense guards and verify safety and prevention procedures. Accompanying him were Omar Khader Al-Shalawi, the Assistant Director of the Directorate, and Rafe’ Faza’ Ghazal, the Civil Defense official at the Directorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit involved scrutinizing the activities of Civil Defense guards during their night shift, inspecting emergency exits, evacuation routes, and the Directorate building along with its surroundings. The officials checked for the availability of safety and prevention requirements, ensuring there were no hazards to employees, visitors, or public property.

Al-Khairallah highlighted the necessity of enhancing readiness and vigilance, complying with civil defense and public safety procedures, and implementing preventive measures to mitigate risks of fires and accidents. His emphasis was on protecting public property and ensuring a secure working environment.
