Baghdad: The Ministry of Finance has unveiled a new electronic service for submitting marine cargo insurance applications via the "Ur" portal.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday the introduction of this online service, which is designed to streamline the process of obtaining marine cargo insurance policies from the National Insurance Company. This development aligns with the directives from the Prime Minister to embrace digital transformation strategies, supported by the Minister of Finance and supervised by the Director General of the Information Technology Department. Collaboration with the Director General of the National Insurance Company was also pivotal in this initiative.
The Ministry's statement highlighted the objectives of this service, which include simplifying application procedures, expediting transactions, and reducing both effort and time. This move is part of the broader government efforts to enhance transparency and efficiency while facilitating service delivery to citizens through digital means.
