Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior has refuted claims circulating on social media and various websites regarding a targeted bombing near Baghdad International Airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry, in an official statement released early Sunday morning, confirmed that “the security situation in the capital is safe and stable, and no incidents of this kind have been recorded.” The ministry emphasized that the news is entirely false and intended to create confusion among citizens.

The ministry has urged the community to refrain from falling for rumors and misinformation circulating online.
