Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced today the arrest of four suspects who assaulted and verbally abused medical personnel and the security detachment inside Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital in the center of Al-Amara.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a statement that the emergency police detachments within the Al-Karamah sector successfully apprehended four individuals. These suspects were involved in the assault on the medical staff inside the hospital following the death of their father, as well as attacking a security detachment present at the scene.

The statement further mentioned that legal measures were taken against the accused, and they were referred to the judiciary. The judiciary decided to detain them in accordance with the provisions of Article 229 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
