Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior announced the deployment of more than 900 thermal cameras along the border strip, enhancing surveillance capabilities to secure the nation’s frontiers.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ministry spokesman Colonel Mohammed al-Hassoun emphasized the ongoing efforts during a press conference organized by the Security Media Cell. He highlighted that border forces are diligently working to complete the construction of a concrete barrier and deploy surveillance cameras to bolster security measures.
Al-Hassoun further elaborated, stating, “The other security agencies are working at full capacity, particularly in the areas of intelligence work, arresting drug traffickers, and dismantling criminal gangs.” The initiative forms part of a broader strategy to combat cross-border criminal activities and ensure the nation’s safety.
