Baghdad: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the National Security Advisory, has initiated a focused training program aimed at enhancing the skills of leaders in the realms of information security and cybersecurity. This program sees the participation of department heads, agency directors, and advisors from within the Ministry.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Labor announced that the program will span three days and is designed to boost security awareness while improving the capacity to address cyber threats. Key components of the program include discussions on the information security policy and standards document, data sharing in compliance with government regulations, network security, incident management and response, as well as cybersecurity awareness.

Karim Kreidi, who serves as the Director of the Information Technology Center at the Social Protection Authority and leads the Digital Transformation Team at the Ministry, confirmed that the Ministry has embarked on a digital transformation initiative. This initiative focuses on infrastructure development, the extension of optical cables, ensuring network connectivity, the establishment of a government mail system and secure documents, and securing electronic archiving.
