Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil has officially denied any existing contracts with the Syrian government regarding the supply of crude oil, addressing recent reports circulating in the media.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement clarifying that information about halting Iraqi crude oil exports to Syria is inaccurate. The State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) confirmed that no contracts have been established with Syria for crude oil supply, thus no exports to Syria have been interrupted. The Ministry urged media outlets and those interested in oil-related matters to verify the accuracy of the information before dissemination and to rely on official sources for confirmation.
