Mohamed Salah Poised to Join Trabzonspor in Landmark Deal

Istanbul: Mohamed Salah is reportedly on the verge of signing with Turkish club Trabzonspor, as detailed by recent Turkish press reports. The Egyptian football star is said to have settled the financial aspects of the deal, bringing him closer to joining the Turkish side.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Turkish media have highlighted Trabzonspor's swift and confident approach in their bid to sign Salah. Reports suggest that negotiations between the club and Salah's party are nearing completion, with Trabzonspor optimistic about finalizing the agreement. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu revealed on his X platform account that club officials recently met with Salah's representative to discuss the terms of the contract and present the official offer.

The offer reportedly entails a two-year contract with an annual salary of £17 million, as Trabzonspor aims to enhance its roster with this high-profile acquisition before the new season kicks off. Sabuncuoglu also noted that Salah's agent has proposed a 20-25% share of the revenue from Salah's jersey sales, a clause that is still under negotiation, though Trabzonspor is open to discussing it.

Further confirmation comes from Turkish journalist Yakup Cinar, who stated that Salah's transfer to Trabzonspor is almost certain, with a probability of 90%. Cinar mentioned that Salah is expected to undergo a medical examination in Istanbul next Wednesday or Thursday, and he will receive 20% of the profits from his jersey sales. Additionally, Trabzonspor has secured a sponsorship deal to facilitate Salah's transfer.

Having concluded his time with Liverpool at the end of last season, Salah leaves behind a legacy of numerous individual and team accolades from his nine-season career with the club.
