Trabzon: Egyptian star Mohamed Salah sent a message to his Trabzonspor teammates and fans following their heavy defeat against Hungarian side Ferencv¡ros in the Europa League qualifiers last Thursday evening.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Salah wrote an impassioned plea to his Trabzonspor teammates and fans after their disappointing exit from the Europa League. He stated, “Nothing in my career has ever been easy. Tough nights and disappointments are an integral part of football, and I’ve learned to turn them into motivation and into titles.”
Salah emphasized his commitment to the club, adding, “Trabzonspor is my club, and I’m wholeheartedly part of this project, and what happened on Thursday night won’t change that. I know expectations are high, and I firmly believe that we can win, and we will. ‘I came here to win’ is not just a slogan for me.”
In response to his heartfelt message, Turkish fans showered Salah with praise, with some supporters even calling for him to be given the captain’s armband. This comes after Trabzonspor’s significant 4-0 defeat against Ferencv¡ros, which led to a dramatic turn of events within the club’s management.
Trabzonspor’s manager, Fatih Tekki, offered his resignation following the loss. However, the club’s management rejected his resignation and insisted that he continue in his coaching role, reflecting their support and confidence in his leadership despite the recent setback.
