Baghdad: Minister of Water Resources, Muthanna al-Tamimi, emphasized today the importance of expanding cooperation with reputable Turkish companies to serve mutual interests and enhance water security in Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the ministry highlighted that Minister Muthanna al-Tamimi met with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, and a delegation of Turkish businessmen to discuss enhancing joint cooperation in the water resources sector. The discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration in implementing water projects and utilizing modern expertise and technologies to develop Iraq's water infrastructure.

The statement further noted that both sides explored ways to support the ministry's efforts in managing water resources efficiently. Al-Tamimi underscored the significance of working with reputable Turkish companies to advance mutual interests and strengthen Iraq's water security.
