Baghdad: Iraqi musician Naseer Shamma participated in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Refugee Convention at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shamma shared his thoughts on his official Facebook page, emphasizing the longstanding role of the UNHCR in supporting millions of individuals displaced due to wars, conflicts, persecution, and disasters. He highlighted the organization's efforts in providing protection, assistance, and hope under challenging circumstances.

Shamma further elaborated on the significance of the occasion, noting that it serves as a reminder of the collective humanitarian responsibility to protect refugees and uphold their dignity, beyond just the efforts of a single institution.
